My name is Nancy Andino and I work as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in NY, NJ and PA. I am also the founder of Tailored for Change, LLC a mental health private practice whose mission is to tailor mental health services to the Global majority by enriching their mental, emotional and physical wellness needs, as we highlight and challenge bias in mental health. My desires and curiosity for learning in the mental health field has granted me the privilege to learn, explore, master and get certified in different complimenting therapeutic and experiential modalities such as EMDR therapy, trauma therapy, gestalt therapy, alcoholism and substance abuse counseling, clinical supervision, daring way facilitation based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown, Coherent breathing, and Reiki. My passion for learning combined with the pressures of being a cis/gender Afro-Puerto Rican, drives me to challenge, explore, get curious and focus on curating the modalities that support and complement each other, and align with my values; if you notice the communality in these modalities they emphasize mindfulness, full-body experience, accountability, authenticity, vulnerability, and the POWER of being a whole human. With every interaction in person and/or virtually I consistently practice being my full human authentic self.
